About Me

"I have lived in Derbyshire all my life.. My childhood was spent in Matlock, followed by teenage years in Bakewell and Birchover, and a spell at Rowsley.  I currently live in Over Haddon with the wonders of Lathkill Dale on my doorstep"

"I live with husband Brian and have two children and six grandchildren  - Jessica, Isobel, Agatha, Abigail, Grace and Max."

"I have been writing for the Peak Advertiser for 22 years and have amassed more than 500 walks as well as various other articles.
"

"I have walked ‘Downstream with the Dove’, ‘Meandered with the Manifold’, ‘Wandered with the Wye’ as well as ‘Walked with Alfie’ and taken almost three years to compile the ‘Around and About’ series, where I visited virtually every town and village in the Peak Advertiser’s catchment area."

"I have been ‘Around the Edge’, on ‘Circular Walks for the Family’ not to mention ‘Hilltop Hikes’ and ‘Nature Rambles’. I have ‘Rambled Around’ and ‘Walked with Alfie’ and even did a few features on ‘Walking up an Appetite’. "

"I worked with my dog Alfie on a series of Adventures involving visits to the police headquarters and Sudbury prison in our articles on working dogs and dogs involved in charities. "

"More recently I compiled a series of walks 'The Teapot Trails' followed by 'Make Mine a Shandy' and I am currently writing 'My Favourite Walks'. "

Having discovered most of the Peak District's secret and very special places as well as its fascinating history, I set up Sally Mosley Guided Walks in 2006 so that I could share this with others and have some fun along the way.

Environmental Quality Mark

On Thursday 16th June 2011 I was very proud and pleased to attend a rather posh award ceremony and
dinner at Haddon Hall where I was presented with my EQM certificate.

The Environmental Quality Mark is a certification that can only be achieved by businesses that actively
support good environmental practices in the Peak District National Park.

When you buy a product or service that has been awarded the EQM, you can be confident that
your purchase directly supports the high quality management of the special environment of the Peak District National Park.

EQM businesses
* Conserve the special and characteristic features of the Peak District National Park, for example, wildflower
meadows, special habitats for birds and wildlife, moors, dales, woodlands, dry stone walls and traditional buildings.
* Use products grown or made within the Peak District National Park
* Minimise waste by reducing, reusing and recycling
* Use environmentally friendly products
* Use energy and water resources efficiently
* Provide environmental information to customers
